Nostalgia...
Grace these moments as they trace our lives.
Passing through and compressing into memory.
Do you find it strange that a spark from the
past can lead happiness astray in trade for
a tender moment of sadness and longing?
Impossible longing for things not quite
forgotten.
Hidden in a song. These days are gone.
What doesn't stay with you becomes a part
of you as the light of old days merge.
My friends this is the happiness I can be
to see you go, on your own.
To find your way and press on alone.
You will write your life stories to be
told years from now.
No matter how far you go,
know that I love you all.

divided that night by the car in the
purple light? It feels so sad now...)
